The rest of our spirits

Spirits are alcoholic beverages with a minimum alcohol content of 15 percent by volume, produced by distilling natural raw materials. Depending on the type, they are based on fermented fruits, grains, grapes, sugarcane, or agave.

A basic distinction is made between the following categories:

Clear spirits such as gin and vodka

Barrel-aged distillates such as rum or cognac

Sweet liqueurs
